Couples Counselling
Couples therapy isn’t just for relationships in crisis, it’s for anyone looking to strengthen their connection, improve communication, and better navigate life’s challenges together. Whether you're facing recurring arguments, feeling emotionally distant, or dealing with external stressors like parenting, caregiving, or major life transitions, therapy can help. Couples work is not to determine who’s right or wrong, but to understand the deeper patterns behind conflict. With the right support, you can shift from feeling stuck or divided to working together as a team, by rebuilding trust, clarity, and connection along the way.

Individual Counselling
Individual counselling at Ember Counselling Therapy offers a safe, supportive space to explore what’s weighing on you. I work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety disorders, depression and mood disorders, grief and loss, relationship challenges, and self-improvement. I also support neurodivergent clients in understanding their experiences and building tools that align with how they naturally operate. Additionally, I offer therapy for individuals living with personality disorders such as Borderline Personality Disorder, with a focus on emotional regulation, self-compassion, and building fulfilling connections. Together, we’ll uncover patterns, deepen your self-awareness, and find new ways forward; at your pace and on your terms.

Mediation Counselling
Mediation counselling offers a structured, therapist-guided space to work through conflict when communication has broken down or tensions are running high. While similar to couples counselling in that it supports dialogue and understanding, mediation is often more focused on resolving specific issues, such as co-parenting disagreements, separation transitions, family conflict, or navigating decisions during high-stress situations. Mediation counselling can be used for couples, family relationships, close friendships, and even work relationships. It’s especially helpful when the goal is to reach mutual agreements, rather than to explore the deeper emotional layers of the relationship. Mediation counselling is grounded in respect, neutrality, and collaboration; helping both parties feel heard, reduce conflict, and find a path forward that works for everyone involved.
Virtual Counselling
Therapy should be accessible, no matter where you are. Virtual counselling at Ember Counselling Therapy allows you to receive professional support from the comfort of your own home, office, or wherever you feel safest. Whether you're managing anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, or simply looking for a space to reflect and grow, online sessions offer the same level of care and connection as in-person therapy. Especially helpful for those with busy schedules, mobility limitations, or living outside urban areas, virtual counselling makes it easier to prioritize your mental health; on your own time, in your own space.

Parenting Support
When a child is too young for talk therapy, or simply not ready or willing to participate, parenting support sessions can be a powerful alternative. At Ember Counselling Therapy, I work directly with parents or caregivers to provide insight, tools, and strategies to better understand and support your child’s emotional and behavioural needs. Whether one or both parents decide to attends, these sessions are especially helpful when therapy with the child isn't an option, but support is still very much needed at home. Since active participation is key to therapeutic growth, we shift the focus to empowering you as a parent—reducing stress, improving communication, and creating a more connected, calm home environment.
